BelOil’s petrol export to Ukraine up 13% in Aug 2021 to 101,000 tonnes

The Belarusian Oil Company CJSC (BelOil), which controls exports of Belarus’ petroleum products, reduced petrol export to Ukraine by 13% year on year in Aug 2021 to 101,000 tonnes, enkorr portal reports citing data of the A-95 Consulting Group (Ukraine). </p> <p> </p> <p> At the same time, petrol supplies from Belarus increased by 45.6% month on month in Aug 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> All in all, Ukraine imported 137,600 tonnes of gasoline in Aug 2021, up 26% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to A-95, the increase in imports from Belarus was primarily due to the fulfillment of contractual obligations for monthly shipments, which were not fully met in the previous summer months due to maintenance works at the Mozyr oil refinery (Gomel Oblast): about 44,000 tonnes of gasoline was delivered in June and 69,400 tonnes in July. </p> <p> </p> <p> The largest supplier was the OKKO network (39,800 tonnes, up 48% year on year) and the WOG network (15,600 tonnes, up 3.8%), UPG – 11,000 tonnes (up twofold), and also BRSM-Nafta (9,600 tonnes, unchanged year on year). It should be noted that BRSM-Nafta imports exclusively A-92 gasoline and then converts it to A-95. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, BelOil increased petrol supplies to Ukraine in 2020 by 23.7% from 2019 to 854,500 tonnes. Belarus’ share in the petrol import into Ukraine increased in 2020 by 9 percentage points on the year to 78%. </p> <p> </p> <p> The increase resulted from new terms of sale of Belarusian petrol to Ukrainian traders in a package with diesel fuel under fixed-term contracts for 2020. Earlier, BelOil determined that the share of petrol in package sales should be at least 40% of the declared diesel fuel purchase volume. </p> <p> </p> <p> Ukraine increased petrol import by 5.5% year on year in 2020 to 1.1 million tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Belarusian Oil Company CJSC was established in May 2007. Belorusneft owns a 52% stake in the company, Naftan OJSC and Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC own 24% each.
