BelOil puts up for sale in September 37,000 tons of gasoline with delivery through Russia’s Ust-Luga

Belarusian Oil Company (BelOil, designated exporter of Belarusian oil products) has offered for sale 37,000 metric tonnes of the AI-92-K2-euro gasoline produced by Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC for delivery via the Portenergo terminal in the Russian port of Ust-Luga in Sep 2021, FOB. </p> <p> </p> <p> Tanker nomination is scheduled for the period between 2 and 7 Sep 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Previously, contracts like that were concluded through BelOil’s British subsidiary BNK (UK) Ltd. Now these details are not specified. </p> <p> </p> <p> On 21 June 2021, the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) in HM Treasury updated the sanctions list against Belarus to include BNK (UK). The sanctions concern the freezing of the company's accounts and assets, as well as other economic resources, and the need to stop transactions with BNK (UK). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, BNK (UK) Limited, a subsidiary of BelOil, suspended the export of oil products via Klaipeda (Lithuania) under new contracts in mid-December 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> Russia and Belarus on 19 February 2021 signed an intergovernmental agreement on transshipping Belarusian oil products export through Russian seaports. The document provides for transshipment of over 9.8 million tons of cargoes by Belarusian companies via Russian seaports in 2021-2023. The indicative transshipment volumes under the agreement are 3.5 million tonnes in 2021, 3.2 million tonnes in 2022 and 3.1 million tonnes in 2023. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Belarusian Oil Company CJSC was established in May 2007. Belorusneft owns a 52% stake in the company, Naftan OJSC and Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC own 24% each. BelOil exports oil products produced by its shareholders, purchases and refines oil at Belarusian refineries. The company has subsidiaries in Poland, Latvia, the UK, Russia and Ukraine. End </p>
