BelAZ through testing new off-road dump truck with 36-tonne load capacity

BelAZ - the managing company of BelAZ Holding (Zhodino, Minsk Region) – has completed tests of the new articulated off-road dump truck with 36-tonne load capacity – MoAZ-7506. The truck was designed in Mogilev by the local branch of BelAZ. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The dump truck represents a new generation of BelAZ off-road vehicles with 6x6 wheel configuration. During the tests, the vehicle showed its ability to overcome difficult obstacles, marshy terrain, and perfectly manoeuvre on a small stretch of road,” says the report. </p> <p> </p> <p> The dump truck is equipped with a 450 hp engine. To increase flotation and traction the design of the vehicle uses an interwheel limited slip differential. A fuel consumption control system is installed. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Belarusian Automobile Plant (BelAZ) was set up in 1948. It is one of the world’s largest producers of automobiles for open cast mines and building significant hydroengineering objects. </p> <p> </p> <p> The company assembles over 200 models of mine trucks with the carrying capacity ranging from 30 to 450 tons, special machines (front loaders, wheel bulldozers, wheel vehicles for metallurgic companies, aircraft haulers, irrigative machinery, automobile dump semitrailers, and consumer goods). </p> <p> </p> <p> The annual output equals 800-900 items. BelAZ produces heavy-duty trucks for open-cast mining in South-East Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. The company controls one-third of the global market of dump trucks.
