Belarusian Metal Plant’s exports up 23% to $430m in Jan-Apr 2021

The Zhlobin-based Belarusian Metallurgical Plant (BMZ) increased exports by 23% year on year in Jan-Apr 2021 to $430 million, a BMZ official told PrimePress. </p> <p> </p> <p> In the total volume of exports, sales of steel wire increased by 70%, sales of rebar increased by 20%, sales of structural rolled products with diameter of 20-80 mm, seamless pipes, bronze-plated wire and steel cord - by 20%. </p> <p> </p> <p> The top five importers of BMZ products in January-April 2021 included Russia, Lithuania, Israel, Germany, and Poland. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarusian Metallurgical Plant was launched in 1984. The company is fully owned by the state. BMZ products are sold on the domestic market and exported to foreign states. End </p>
