Belarusbank resumes subsidized housing loan programme Oct 15
<p> MINSK, Oct 16 - PrimePress. Belarusbank has resumed its subsidized housing loan programme and on Oct 15 started accepting applications for new soft housing loans, applications for increasing the size of credit lines under previously concluded contracts with the use of subsidies for their repayment in accordance with Ordinance № 240 “On state support to housing construction for citizens” of July 4, 2017. </p> <p> </p> <p> The subsidized housing loan programme has been resumed in “view of the social importance of the state program of housing construction, in order to successfully complete the construction of apartment houses in the current year and the relevance of the issue of credit support to citizens who are improving their housing conditions”. </p> <p> </p> <p> The terms of housing loans subsidized under Ordinance No. 240 remain unchanged - the refinancing rate of the National Bank of Belarus (currently 7.75% per annum – editor’s note) increased by 3%. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported on Sep 10, 2020, Belarusbank put on hold its subsidized housing loan programme under Ordinance #240 of July 4, 2017 and stopped issuing soft loans for the construction or reconstruction of residential premises with subsidized repayment schemes.
