Belarus ups ceiling on directed lending for state programmes in 2020 by 19% to Br1.26bn
<p> MINSK, Jun 12 - PrimePress. Belarus has raised the limit on directed lending in support of state programmes and activities in 2020 by 20% to Br1.26 billion ($530.6m). The Government of Belarus adopted a resolution to this effect on Jun 8, 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> The 2020 ceiling on directed lending in support of corporate projects approved by the president is up 36.2% to Br729.3 ($307.1 m); approved by the local authorities – up 4.1% to Br160.41m ($67.623m). </p> <p> </p> <p> In particular, Belarus Development Bank’s 2020 credit limit has been increased by 34.2% to Br1.638bn ($689.7m), of which Br200.5m ($84.43m) will be invested in road maintenance. </p> <p> </p> <p> The 2020 directed lending programme worth Br740 billion ($311.6m) was approved by the Government of Belarus’ resolution of December 28, 2019. In March 2020, however, the ceiling on directed lending was raised by 27% to facilitate lease purchases of farming equipment. End </p>
