Belarus’ truck export up 2.5% in Jan-Aug 2020 to 30,927 vehicles

Belarus increased the export of trucks and truck tractors by 2.5% year on year in Jan-Aug 2020 to 30,927 vehicles, Belstat said in a statistical report. </p> <p> </p> <p> In monetary terms, the export decreased by 10.4% to $346.256 million. Belarus supplied 21,095 vehicles to the Russian Federation (up 13.2%) worth $193.657 million (up 6.6%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The export of trucks decreased by 18.2% to 2,889 vehicles. In monetary terms, the export dropped by 49.6% to $350.753 million. Russia accounted for 1,937 vehicles (down 12.9%) worth $200.838 million (down 63%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The export of off-road dump trucks decreased by 54.3% to 263 vehicles. In monetary terms, it was down by 62.9% to $182.136 million. Russia accounted for 107 vehicles (down 74.1%) worth $61.506 million (down 83.8%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The export of passenger cars increased by 88.5% to 23,192 vehicles. In monetary terms, the export grew by 6.8% to $125.694 million. Belarus supplied 23,070 vehicles to Russia (up 92.7%) worth $120.242 million (up 24.4%). </p> <p> </p> <p> In January-July, Belarus exported 759 vehicles with 10 or more seats (down 7.9%) to the tune of $89.033 million (up 56.9%).
