Belarus’ Trade Ministry raises marginal sale price of LHG for Beltopgaz by 14.7% to Br476.6 per tonne

The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) of Belarus has set the maximum sale price of liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LHG) for municipal consumption for entities of Beltopgaz State Production Association by 14.7% to Br476.6 ($186.83 at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) ex VAT per tonne (MART resolution No.3 of January 12, 2021 posted on the National Legal Internet Portal on January 20, 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> The maximum sale price of LHG in gas cylinders sold to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs are set at Br503.86 ($197.52) ex VAT per tonne. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to MART, this is done to reduce the unprofitability of LHG sales by oil refining companies on the domestic market. </p> <p> </p> <p> This price increase does not apply to private households. In accordance with Belarusian legislation, prices of LHG sold to households for domestic consumption (cooking and heating) are regulated by the Council of Ministers of Belarus, MART says. </p> <p> </p> <p> The resolution comes into force upon its official publication.
