Belarus’ tractor production up 2.1% in Jan-Feb 2021 to 5,700 units

Belarus’ production of tractors for agriculture and forestry, except for tractors operated by a side-by-side operator, grew by 2.1% year on year in Jan-Feb 2021 to 5,700 units, the National Statistical Committee (Belstat) told PrimePress. </p> <p> </p> <p> In February 2021 alone, tractor production totalled 3,100 units (+9.7% year on year, +21.1% month on month). </p> <p> </p> <p> Production of harvesting machines in Belarus increased by 49.4% to 2,332 units in Jan-Feb 2021, including 1,366 units in February (+81.4% year on year and +41.4% month on month). </p> <p> </p> <p> Production of equipment for agriculture, horticulture and forestry increased by 28.7% to 3,591 units in Jan-Feb 2021, including 1,944 thousand units in February (+12.4% year on year and +18% month on month). </p> <p> </p> <p> Tractor inventories amounted to 3,100 units as of March 1, 2021 (109% of monthly average output), down 17.2% month on month. Inventories of harvesting machines amounted to 2,187 units (187.6%; up 5.3%), inventories of agricultural, horticultural and forestry equipment - 1,044 units (58.1%; +26.9%).
