Belarus’ tax authorities to start exchanging data on personal/corporate incomes/property with Russian peers Aug 2021

The tax authorities of Belarus and Russia will begin exchanging information on income and property of citizens and legal entities starting August 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> An agreement to this effect was reached at the end of the ninth meeting of the working group on tax control and information exchange on December 2, the press service of the Federal Tax Service (FTS) of the Russian Federation reported. </p> <p> </p> <p> The transfer of information on certain types of income and property of citizens and business entities is provided by the protocol on information exchange in electronic form between the CIS member states, which came into force in 2020. The first exchange is scheduled for August 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the press service, the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Taxes and Levies of Belarus have been practice an active exchange of relevant information in 2020, in order to counteract the illegal concealment of capital and tax evasion. </p> <p> </p> <p> Thus, in January-October the Ministry of Taxation received 402 enquiries and 552 responses to enquiries of the Federal Tax Service, the Russian side sent 519 inquiries and 353 responses.
