Belarus suspends Russian oil pumping by Druzhba pipeline

Belarusian oil company Belneftekhim has suspended pumping Russian oil by the Druzhba oil pipeline in accordance with the schedule, RBC reports with reference to Transneft. </p> <p> </p> <p> The report says that Belneftekhim has suspended oil pumping towards Budkowice (Slovakia) and Fenyeslitke (Hungary). The oil pipeline system Druzhba has been switched to reverse mode due to the need to pump a batch of oil via the Odessa-Brody pipeline into Belarus. The traffic towards Slovakia and Hungary will be suspended until September 13. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belneftekhim responded to a request for comments. “There is nothing extraordinary about it. Everything is routine and has been agreed within the framework of the oil pumping schedule without detriment to the pumping of the necessary volumes towards Hungary. Moreover, the technical capacity is even above the current workload. If necessary, pumping volumes can be increased to accommodate partners' requests,” a Belneftekhim representative said.
