Belarus starts vaccination against coronavirus using vaccine by China’s Sinopharm started in on Mar 15

Vaccination with the Chinese vaccine SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell) Inactivated, manufactured by Sinopharm, began in Belarus on 15 March 2021, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Health said. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The medication has undergone the necessary laboratory control, during which experts of the Ministry of Health were convinced of its quality and safety. The first health facility where SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell) was used was the outpatient clinic No. 36 in Minsk,” reads the report. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich, currently specialists are discussing the prospects of producing the vaccine in Belarus. It may happen on the basis of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, in February 2021, China sent to Belarus 100 thousand doses of a coronavirus vaccine produced by Sinopharm on a free basis. This is the first vaccine approved by the State Pharmaceutical Administration of China to enter the market and is already actively used in the country.
