Belarus sets electricity tariffs for large industrial consumers Jan 1, 2021 – resolution
<p> MINSK, Dec 29 - PrimePress. Large industrial consumers of Belarus will pay for electricity at new tariffs starting from January 1, 2021, as stipulated by joint resolution No.78/44 of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) and the Ministry of Energy of November 30, 2020, MART press office reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> The resolution establishes thresholds for electricity consumption by energy-intensive consumers, and lists economic activities in 13 sections and 13 corresponding threshold values, ranging from 35 million kWh to 2 billion kWh. </p> <p> </p> <p> From January 1, 2021, the tariff differentiation by time periods, depending on consumption in excess of the established thresholds is as follows: up to 25 million kWh inclusive; from 25 million kWh to 75 million kWh inclusive; from 75 million kWh to 125 million kWh inclusive; from 125 million kWh to 175 million kWh inclusive; from 175 million kWh to 275 million kWh inclusive; over 275 million kWh. </p> <p> </p> <p> This is meant to make the tariffs transparent and clear for investors and enterprises involved in investment projects, reads the statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> The resolution does not apply to private households.
