The Belarus-Russia trade turnover decreased in January-August 2020 by 20% year on year to $17.503 billion, says the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation. </p> <p> </p> <p> Export from Russia to Belarus decreased in Jan-Aug 2020 by 28.6% to $9.592 billion; imports to Russia from Belarus – by 6.3% to $7.911 billion. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus’ share in the total foreign trade turnover of the Russian Federation decreased in Jan-Aug 2020 to 5% from 5.1% in Jan-Aug 2019 mainly due to a decrease in imports from Russia, primarily a significant reduction in Russian oil supplies to Belarus early this year caused by price disagreements.
