Belarus-Russia trade turnover down 17.8% in Jan-Oct 2020 to $22.8bn

The Belarus-Russia trade turnover decreased in January-October 2020 by 17.8% year on year to $22.8 billion, says the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation. </p> <p> </p> <p> Export from Russia to Belarus decreased in Jan-Oct 2020 by 25.9% to $12.561 billion; imports to Russia from Belarus – by 5.1% to $10.205 billion. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus’ share in the total foreign trade turnover of the Russian Federation decreased in Jan-Oct 2020 to 5% from 5.1% in Jan-Oct 2019 mainly due to a decrease in imports from Russia, primarily a significant reduction in Russian oil supplies to Belarus early this year caused by price disagreements.
