Belarus’ retail sales up 2% on yr in Jan-Nov 2020 to Br47.9bn
<p> MINSK, Dec 17 – PrimePress. Belarus’ retail turnover, including the public catering sector, went up by 2% on the year in January-November 2020 to Br47.9 billion ($18.99 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate) in comparative prices, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> The per capita daily retail turnover in Jan-Nov 2020 totalled Br15.2 ($6) to compare with Br14.3 ($5.66) in Jan-Nov 2019. </p> <p> </p> <p> Of the total, trade organizations accounted for 91.6%; individual entrepreneurs and natural persons accounted for the rest (8.4%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The trade turnover of Belarus’ state-owned trading companies grew by 3.5% in Jan-Nov 2020 to Br43.9 billion ($17.39bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ retail sales grew 4.2% year on year in 2019 to Br49.3 billion ($19.53bn).
