Belarus’ retail sales up 2.4% on yr in Jan-Sep 2020 to Br38.9bn

Belarus’ retail turnover, including the public catering sector, went up by 2.4% on the year in January-September 2020 to Br38.9 billion ($15.1 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate) in comparative prices, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> The per capita daily retail turnover in Jan-Sep 2020 totalled Br15.1 ($5.86) to compare with Br14.2 ($5.51) in Jan-Sep 2019. </p> <p> </p> <p> Of the total, trade organizations accounted for 91.7%; individual entrepreneurs and natural persons accounted for the rest (8.3%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The trade turnover of Belarus’ state-owned trading companies grew by 4.2% in Jan-Sep 2020 to Br49.3 billion ($19.14bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ retail sales grew 4.2% year on year in 2019 to Br49.3 billion ($19.14bn). Belarus’ retail turnover, including the public catering sector, went up by 2.4% on the year in January-September 2020 to Br38.9 billion ($15.1 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate) in comparative prices, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report.
The per capita daily retail turnover in Jan-Sep 2020 totalled Br15.1 ($5.86) to compare with Br14.2 ($5.51) in Jan-Sep 2019.
