Belarus’ retail sales up 1.3% on yr in Jan-Nov 2021 to Br53.9bn

Belarus’ retail turnover, including the public catering sector, went up by 1.3% on the year in Jan-Nov 2021 to Br53.9 billion ($21.344 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate) in comparative prices, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> The per capita daily retail turnover in Jan-Nov 2021 stood at Br17.2 ($6.8) to compare with Br15.4 ($6.1) in Jan-Nov 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> Of the total, trade organizations accounted for 92.6%; individual entrepreneurs and natural persons accounted for the rest (7.4%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The trade turnover of Belarus’ state-owned trading companies grew by 2.2% in Jan-Nov 2021 to Br50 billion ($19.8bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ retail sales grew by 1.8% year on year in 2020 to Br53.1 billion ($21.368bn).
