Belarus’ retail sales up 0.7% on yr in Jan-Sep 2021 to Br43.6bn

Belarus’ retail turnover, including the public catering sector, went up by 0.7% on the year in Jan-Sep 2021 to Br43.6 billion ($17.818 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate) in comparative prices, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> The per capita daily retail turnover in Jan-Sep 2021 stood at Br17 ($6.95) to compare with Br15.3 ($6.25) in Jan-Sep 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> Of the total, trade organizations accounted for 92.5%; individual entrepreneurs and natural persons accounted for the rest (7.5%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The trade turnover of Belarus’ state-owned trading companies grew by 1.3% in Jan-Sep 2021 to Br40.3 billion ($16.47bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ retail sales grew by 1.8% year on year in 2020 to Br53.1 billion ($21.368bn).
