Belarus’ retail sales up 0.4% on yr in Jan-Jul 2021 to Br33.2bn

Belarus’ retail turnover, including the public catering sector, went up by 0.4% on the year in Jan-Jul 2021 to Br33.2 billion ($13.3 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate) in comparative prices, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> The per capita daily retail turnover in Jan-Jul 2021 stood at Br16.7 ($6.69) to compare with Br15.1 ($6.05) in Jan-Jul 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> Of the total, trade organizations accounted for 92.3%; individual entrepreneurs and natural persons accounted for the rest (7.7%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The trade turnover of Belarus’ state-owned trading companies grew by 1.2% in Jan-Jul 2021 to Br30.7 billion ($12.3bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ retail sales grew by 1.8% year on year in 2020 to Br53.1 billion ($21.28bn).
