Belarus’ refineries plan to process 18m tonnes of oil in 2021 – Belneftekhim

Belarusian refineries (Mozyr Refinery, Gomel Oblast, and Naftan, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk Oblast) plan to process in 2021 about 18 million tonnes of oil, which is the amount planned for 2020, Deputy Chairman of Belneftekhim state petrochemical concern Vladimir Sizov told reporters on December 1, 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> The refineries will process 16-16.5 million tonnes of oil in 2020 against the expected 18 million tonnes. The target will not be reached due to the failure to reach oil supply agreements with Russian companies in late 2019 and early 2020 due to price disputes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko said in November that Belarus would procure the bulk of crude oil in 2021 from Russia.
