Belarus reduces number of organizers of national exhibitions abroad – decree
<p> MINSK, Jul 7 - PrimePress. The government of Belarus has reduced the number of organizers of national exhibitions abroad, expecting a report on the achievement of the goals set (Council of Ministers’ resolution No.380 of June 29, 2020 posted on the National Legal Internet Portal on July 6). </p> <p> </p> <p> The resolution establishes the target nature of national exhibitions (expositions). National exhibitions are to pursue the following objectives: promote export-oriented commodities (works, services) on traditional and new foreign markets, expand the range and increase the volume of Belarusian exports, diversify supplies of Belarusian commodities (works, services) geographically and industry-wise, find partners and take new niches in promising markets, including countries outside the CIS, showcase innovative achievements, investment and export capacity of the Belarusian economy, enhance the positive image of Belarusian exporters and popularize Belarusian brands, expand trade and economic relations and investment cooperation with countries and regional alliances. </p> <p> </p> <p> The resolution defines more precisely the functions of persons engaged in the organization of national exhibitions (coordinator, organizer, co-organizer, exhibitor and operator); considerably extends the deadlines for reporting from two weeks to 1.5 months after the end of the exhibition, and specifies the details to be reported, such as associated events, amounts of contracts signed, and costs incurred to hold exhibitions.
