Belarus raises tariffs on telecom/postal services by 4.3-11.1% from December 14

Belarus is raising tariffs on telecom services and postal services by 4.3-11.1% starting December 14, according to the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade’s Resolution #76 of Nov 23, 2020, </p> <p> </p> <p> In particular, the subscription fee for a separate landline phone will increase by 4.4% to 3.59 Bel rubles per month ($1.39 at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus), for a twin phone - by 4.3% to 2.9 Bel rubles ($1.12, $1 - 2.5862 Bel rubles) per month. </p> <p> </p> <p> The time fee per minute of connection will increase by 4.3% to 0.0073 Belarusian rubles ($0.003). </p> <p> </p> <p> One minute of long-distance calls will go up by 17.8% to Br0.0192 ($0.007) for a connection without the help of a telephone operator, and by 17.6% to 0.0288 Bel rubles ($0.01) for an operator-assisted call. </p> <p> </p> <p> In terms of postal services, the cost of sending ordinary mail (postcards, letters weighing up to 20 g and parcels weighing up to 20 g) within Belarus increases by 11.1% to Br0.6 ($0.23) for individuals. This tariff for legal entities and private entrepreneurs will increase by 11.1% to Br0.5 ($0.19) per one item dispatched. End </p>
