Belarus raises some cigarette prices by 1.7-4% Apr 1, 2021

<p> MINSK, Mar 25, - PrimePress. Belarusian manufacturers and importers will raise maximum retail prices of some brands of cigarettes on Apr 1, 2021 by 1.7-4%, according to the data of excise tax payers posted on the website of the Tax Ministry of Belarus. </p> <p>   </p> <p> The price of some types of Kent cigarettes will go up by 2.8% to Br3.7 ($1.41 at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) per pack on April 1, while Pall Mall cigarettes - by 1.9-4% to Br2.6-2.7 ($0.99-1.03, $1 - $2.6272) per pack. </p> <p>   </p> <p> The price of some types of Davidoff cigarettes will be raised by 2.4-2.5% to Br3.5-4.2 ($1.33-1.6) from April 1, while certain types of AROMA cigarettes - by 2.2-2.3% to Br4.35-4.6 ($1.66-1.75) per pack. </p> <p>   </p> <p> The prices of the cigarettes to be first put on sale in April 2021 were also set. A pack of Winston Compact Ambient Mix cigarettes will cost 2.9 Belarusian rubles ($1.1), Rothmans Mix 3 in 1 - 2.5 Belarusian rubles ($0.96), Winston XS Caster Plus - also 2.9 Belarusian rubles ($0.96) per pack. </p> <p>   </p> <p> Cigarette prices were announced by three manufacturers–GTF Neman OJSC, Tabak Invest LLC and Inter Tobacco LLC–and one importer–Belarustorg. </p> <p>   </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus raised cigarette prices on Mar 1, 2021.
