Belarus raises some cigarette prices by 1.7-11.6% Jan 1, 2021

Belarusian manufacturers and importers will raise maximum retail prices of some brands of cigarettes on November 1, 2020 by 1.7% to 11.6%, according to the data of excise tax payers posted on the website of the Tax Ministry of Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> The price of Rothmans Blue and Rothmans Azure cigarettes will rise by 1.7% to Br2.9 ($1.13 at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) on January 1, 2020; Queen SUPERSLIMS cigarettes – by 11.1% to Br1.5 ($0.58) per pack. </p> <p> </p> <p> Prices of some sorts of NZ cigarettes will be up 9.9-10.5% to Br1.4-1.6 ($0.54-0.62); Kent cigarettes – by 2.7-2.8% to Br3.6-3.75 ($1.4-1.46) per pack. </p> <p> </p> <p> Price of some sorts of Korona cigarettes will increase by 2.7-6.9% to Br1.3-1.9 ($0.51-0.74); Camel cigarettes – by 3.5-4.2% to Br2.5-2.5 ($0.97-1.15); Winston cigarettes – by 2.7-3.4% to Br2.9-3.8 ($1.13-1.48); Dove cigarettes – by 8.3-9.5% to Br1.41-1.72 ($0.55-0.67) per pack. </p> <p> </p> <p> Cigarette prices were announced by three manufacturers–GTF Neman OJSC, Tabak Invest LLC and Inter Tobacco LLC–and one importer–Belarustorg state-owned enterprise. </p> <p> </p> <p> Last time, Belarus raised cigarette prices on December 1, 2020.
