Belarus raises some cigarette prices by 1.3-5.3% from 1 Oct
<p> MINSK, Sep 24 - PrimePress. Prices of some types of cigarettes in Belarus will increase by 1.3-5.3% from 1 October 2021. This follows from the information on the maximum retail prices of filter-tip cigarettes, according to the data of excise tax payers posted on the website of the Tax Ministry of Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> In particular, the price of the Pall Mall brand cigarettes will increase by 3.3-3.7% to Br2.8-3.1 per pack ($1.12-$1.24 at the rate of National Bank of Belarus) from October 1. The cost of some types of Kent brand cigarettes - by 1.3-3.6% to Br3.19-4.15 ($1.27-1.66, $1- $2.503), Rothmans - by 2.9-5.3% to Br2.95-3.19 ($1.18- $1.27). </p> <p> </p> <p> The cost of the Monte Carlo brand cigarettes will go up by 3.3-3.6% to Br2.9-3.15 ($1.16-$1.26), while the Camel brand cigarettes - by 1.3-3.6% to Br2.9-3.19 ($1.16-$1.27), the Winston brand cigarettes - by 1.3-2.7% to Br3.1-4.2 ($1.24-1.68), the Sobranie brand cigarettes - by 2.3-2.5% to Br4.15-4.4 ($1.66-1.76). </p> <p> </p> <p> The new prices of certain types of cigarette brands were announced by manufacturers of tobacco products: Neman and Tabak Invest as well as the importer Belarustorg. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, from 1 September 2021 Belarus raised the prices of some cigarettes by 0.7-8.4%, while the prices of some cigarette brands were reduced by 1.2-4.8%.
