Belarus raises some cigarette prices by 0.3-4% Feb 1, 2021
<p> MINSK, Jan 27, - PrimePress. Belarusian manufacturers and importers will raise maximum retail prices of some brands of cigarettes on February 1, 2021 by 0.3-4%, according to the data of excise tax payers posted on the website of the Tax Ministry of Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> Prices of Kent cigarettes will go up by 0.3-3.6% to Br2.9-3.6 ($1.12-1.4 at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) per pack; Pall Mall – by 1.8-3.9% to Br2.6-2.8 ($1-1.09) per pack; Rothmans – by 4% to Br2.6 ($1) per pack; Davidoff – by 1.2-1.5% to Br3.4-4.1 ($1.32-1.59) per pack. </p> <p> </p> <p> Prices of cigarettes, which will go on sale for the first time in February 2021, have also been set. Sobranie Element Caster will cost Br3.75 ($1.45) per pack, Camel Studio Sunny Mix – Br2.5 ($0.97) per pack, Kent Crystal Silver – Br2.9 ($1.12) per pack. </p> <p> </p> <p> Cigarette prices were announced by three manufacturers–GTF Neman OJSC, Tabak Invest LLC and Inter Tobacco LLC–and two importers–Belarustorg and Energo-Oil CJSC. </p> <p> </p> <p> Last time, Belarus raised cigarette prices on January 1, 2021.
