Belarus raises retail prices of motor fuel by 0.54% Feb 16, 2021

Belarus raised on February 16, 2021 retail prices of AI-95-K5-Euro petrol by 0.55% to Br1.83 ($0.71 at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) per liter; AI-92-K5-Euro – by 0.58% to Br1.73 ($0.67), AI-98-K5-Euro – by 0.49% to Br2.05 ($0.79); diesel fuel – by 0.55% to Br1.83 ($0.71) per liter, Belneftekhim state petrochemical concern reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> This is the third change in motor fuel prices in 2021. This year, the price of 1 liter of AI-95-K5-Euro petrol has increased by 1.67%; AI-98-K5-Euro – by 1.49%; AI-92-K5-Euro – by 1.77%; diesel fuel – by 1.67%. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belneftekhim says it monitored the market situation from February 1 to February 12, 2021, seeing an upward global oil pricing trend. The average quotation of Brent oil during this period approached $60 per barrel, up 9% compared with the January 2021 quotation. </p> <p> </p> <p> The spending on oil is increasing considerably, therefore, an oil product marginal price strategy has been pursued to ensure stable operation of the refineries. </p> <p> </p> <p> Motor fuel prices in Belarus changed 16 times in 2020 to a 3.4% increase on average.
