Belarus raises motor fuel prices by 0.52% May 4, 2021
<p> MINSK, May 4 - PrimePress. Belarus raised motor fuel prices on May 4, 2021. Retail prices of AI-95-K5-Euro petrol goes up by 0.52% to Br1.93 ($0.75 at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) per litre; AI-92-K5-Euro – by 0.55% to Br1.83 ($0.71), AI-98-K5-Euro – by 0.47% to Br2.15 ($0.84); diesel fuel – by 0.52% to Br1.93 ($0.75) per litre, Belneftekhim state petrochemical concern reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> “According to the adopted strategy for stepwise indexation of motor fuel prices, due to an 18% increase in the global average oil quotation in April 2021 compared to January this year, the retail price ceiling for petrol stations is being changed from May 4, 2021,” the statement said. </p> <p> </p> <p> This has been a thirteenth change in motor fuel prices in Belarus since early 2021. This year, the price of 1 litre of AI-95-K5-Euro petrol has increased by 7.22%; AI-98-K5-Euro – by 6.44%; AI-92-K5-Euro – by 7.65%; diesel fuel – by 7.65%. </p> <p> </p> <p> Motor fuel prices in Belarus changed 16 times in 2020 to a 3.4% increase on average.
