Belarus raises minimum sale price of hard liquor by 3.3% to Br5.05 per 0.5 liters
<p> MINSK, Jan 5 - PrimePress. The marginal selling price (without VAT and with retail packaging cost) of hard liquor with an alcoholic content over 28% is raised by 3.3% to 5.05 Belarusian rubles ($1.96 at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) per 0.5 liters, as per resolution No.85 of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) of Belarus of December 28, 2020 posted on the National Legal Internet Portal. </p> <p> </p> <p> The retail price of hard liquor (incl. of VAT) was raised by 3.2% to Br6.68 ($2.59). </p> <p> </p> <p> The marginal minimum sale price of rectified ethyl alcohol from food raw materials (including excise duty) rose by 3.8% to Br74.43 ($28.86) per decaliter of anhydrous alcohol. </p> <p> </p> <p> The resolution came into force on January 1, 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, prices of hard liquor and alcohol are based on the market environment, being maintained at or below the maximum marginal sale price, and are recalculated in proportion to beverage strength and retail packaging capacity.
