Belarus raises export duties on oil and oil products Aug 1, 2020
<p> MINSK, Aug 3 - PrimePress. Belarus’ export duties on oil and oil products exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) rose on July 1, 2020, as per government resolution No.450 of July 29, 2020 posted on the official website of the government on August 1, 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> The export duty on crude oil rose on Aug 1, 2020 from $37.8 to $46.9 per tonne. The zero duty on oil supplied under EEU FEACN codes 2709009001 and 2709009003 remains unchanged. The duty on oil supplied under EEU FEACN code 2709009002 increased from $3.7 to $4.6 per tonne. </p> <p> </p> <p> The duty on light and medium distillates, benzene, toluene, xylenes and lubricating oils increased from $11.3 to $14 per tonne; waste oil products, vaseline, paraffin and oil bitumen – from $37.8 to $46.9 per tonne. </p> <p> </p> <p> The duty on commercial gasoline increased from $11.3 to $14 per tonne; straight run gasoline – from $20.7 to $25 per tonne. </p> <p> </p> <p> The duty on diesel fuel rose from $11.3 to $14 per tonne. </p> <p> </p> <p> The duty on fuel oil increased from $37.8 to $46.9 per tonne. </p> <p> </p> <p> The duty on liquefied natural gases remains at 0%. </p> <p> </p> <p> Since October 1, 2011, following Russia, Belarus has been calculating export duties on oil and oil products by the 60/66 formula, i.e. the rate of export duties on light and dark oil products is unified and is calculated with a 0.66 factor to the rate of the duty on oil.
