Belarus raises base value by 7.4% Jan 1, 2021 to Br29

Belarus raised the base value on January 1, 2021 by 7.4% to Br29 ($11.25 at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Belarus), as per government resolution No.783 of December 30, 2020 posted on the National Legal Internet Portal on January 1, 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> The base value was introduced in Belarus in 2002 as an annual benchmark for calculations of many indicators and standards in the field of labor and social legal relations, damages that fall under the criminal code, fines and duties. </p> <p> </p> <p> The base value was set at Br23 ($8.92) in 2017; Br24.5 ($9.5) in 2018; Br25.5 ($9.89) in 2019; Br27 ($10.47) in 2020.
