Belarus’ potash fertilizers export up 43.3% in Jan-Feb 2021 to $434m
<p> MINSK, Apr 27 - PrimePress. Belarus increased potash fertilizer export by 43.3% year on year in Jan-Feb 2021 to $434.1 million, reads the official statistical report. </p> <p> </p> <p> Statistics (provided by Belstat) show an increase in supplies to a number of key markets, which occurred due to a revival of global market demand for potassium chloride. Thus, revenues from supplies to Brazil stood at $72.63 million (up 2.9 times), to China - $78.79 million (up 5.9 times), to Malaysia - $23.77 million (up 20.7%), to Thailand - $15.3 million (up 25.4%), to USA - $43.7 million (up 4.2 times). </p> <p> </p> <p> At the same time, there was a decline in supplies to India - by 29.6% to $30.25 million, Morocco - by 23.7% to $13.2 million, Turkey - by 4.9% to $12.26 million, Norway - by 32.8% to $10.9 million, Poland - by 8.4% to $14.74 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belstat does not currently publish statistics on the export of potash fertilizers in physical terms. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus’ potash fertilizer exports fell 13% year on year in 2020 to $2.41bn. In physical weight terms, Belarus exported 7.14 million tonnes (in terms of 100% potassium chloride), up 14.7%. End </p>
