Belarus’ oil products export to Ukraine up 50% in Jan 2021 to 262,300 tonnes

Belarus increased exports of oil products to Ukraine in January 2021 by 50% year on year to 262,300 tonnes, reads the official statistical report. </p> <p> </p> <p> In value terms, the exports increased by 8% on the year to $113.384 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> The average export price of Belarusian oil products for Ukraine in January 2021 stood at $432.334 per tonne, down 29.2% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, in 2020, Belarus decreased supplies of oil products to Ukraine by 3.6% y/y to 3.182 million tonnes. In monetary terms, the export decreased by 38.2% to $1.241 billion. The average export price of Belarusian oil products for Ukraine in 2020 stood at $390.115 per tonne, down 35.9% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> The decrease in supplies was primarily caused by a considerable decrease in output at the Belarusian oil refineries (Naftan, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk Oblast, and Mozyr Refinery, Gomel Oblast) in the first half of the year due to Russian crude oil supply cuts and the price environment on the fuel market.
