Belarus National Bank keeps refinancing rate unchanged at 7.75%

The Board of National Bank of Belarus (NBB) decided to keep the refinancing rate unchanged at 7.75% per annum, reads a statement by the Department of Information and Public Relations of the National Bank. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The refinancing rate and interest rates on liquidity regulation operations of the National Bank will remain at the same level,” reads the statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> The 2021 schedule of NBB monetary policy meetings is cancelled. The issues of changing the refinancing rate and rates on instruments of banks' liquidity regulation will be considered if necessary. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, the National Bank set the refinancing rate at 7.75% per annum, the overnight loan rate at 8.75% per annum and the overnight deposit rate at 6.75% per annum on 1 July 2020 and has decided several times since then to keep them unchanged.
