Belarus’ mineral fertilizer output up 49.1% in Jan-Feb 2021 to 1.541m tonnes
<p> MINSK, Apr 5 – PrimePress. Belarus’ output of all kinds of mineral fertilizers increased by 49.1% on the year in January-February 2020 to 1.541 million tonnes (in terms of the core fertilizer component), Belarus’ Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> Potash fertilizer output increased by 60% on the year in Jan-Feb 2021 to 1.342 million tonnes, phosphate fertilizers – up 43.5% to 35,400 tonnes, nitrogen fertilizers – up 0.7% year on year to 183,600 tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Mineral fertilizer inventories stood at 96,900 tonnes as of Mar 1, 2021 (12.6% of average monthly output). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ output of all kinds of mineral fertilizers grew 2.3% on the year in 2020 to 8.697 million tonnes (in terms of the core fertilizer component). Output of potash fertilizers stood at 7.554 million tonnes (up 2.8% yoy), nitrogen fertilizers – down 1.1% to 928,300 tonnes, and output of phosphate fertilizers went down 0.9% to 215,000 tonnes.
