Belarus’ mineral fertilizer output up 36.6% in Jan-Mar 2021 to 2.343m tonnes
<p> MINSK, May 5 – PrimePress. Belarus’ output of all kinds of mineral fertilizers increased by 36.6% on the year in January-March 2021 to 2.343 million tonnes (in terms of the core fertilizer component), Belarus’ Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> Potash fertilizer output increased by 43.7% on the year in Jan-Mar 2021 to 2.036 million tonnes, phosphate fertilizers – up 7.2% to 58,100 tonnes, nitrogen fertilizers – up 1.8% year on year to 248,900 tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Mineral fertilizer inventories stood at 130,000 tonnes as of Apr 1, 2021 (16.7% of average monthly output): potash fertilizer inventories - 124,300 tonnes (18.3%), nitrogen fertilizers – 4,900 (5.9%), phosphate fertilizers – 800 tonnes (4.2%). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ output of all kinds of mineral fertilizers grew 2.3% on the year in 2020 to 8.697 million tonnes (in terms of the core fertilizer component). Output of potash fertilizers stood at 7.554 million tonnes (up 2.8% yoy), nitrogen fertilizers – down 1.1% to 928,300 tonnes, and output of phosphate fertilizers went down 0.9% to 215,000 tonnes.
