Belarus’ mineral fertilizer output down 0.1% in Jan-Oct 2020 to 7.054m tonnes

Belarus’ output of all kinds of mineral fertilizers reduced by 0.1% on the year in January-October 2020 to 7.054 million tonnes (in terms of the core fertilizer component), Belarus’ Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> Output of potash fertilizers increased by 0.1% on the year to 6.106 million tonnes, phosphate fertilizers – down 0.4% to 185,700 tonnes, nitrogen fertilizers – down 0.9% year on year to 762,400 tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Mineral fertilizer inventories stood at 130,200 tonnes as of Nov 1, 2020 (18.5% of average monthly output); including potash – 102,500 tonnes (16.8%), nitrogen – 25,700 tonnes (33.8%), phosphates – 2,000 tonnes (10.9%). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ output of all kinds of mineral fertilizers grew 0.9% on the year in January-December 2019 to 8.503 million tonnes (in terms of the core fertilizer component). Output of potash fertilizers stood at 7.348 million tonnes (same as in 2018), nitrogen fertilizers – up 7.9% to 938,600 tonnes, and output of phosphate fertilizers went up 2.7% to 216,900 tonnes.
