Belarus’ milk and dairy export up 8.4% in Jan-Apr 2020 to 778,000 tonnes

Belarus increased the export of milk and dairy products in January-April 2020 by 8.4% year on year to 778,000 tonnes; meat and meat products – by 13.9% to 320,100 tonnes, head of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Alexei Bogdanov said during the International Agricultural Online Forum on June 16. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus also increased export of fish and fish products by 5.3% to 100,300 tonnes, vegetable oils – by 6.9% to 88,200 tonnes, potatoes – by 3.6% to 19,600 tonnes, flax fiber – by 1.4% to 8,900 tonnes </p> <p> </p> <p> In monetary terms, the export of farm products and foods increased in January-April 2020 by 5.6% to $1.808 billion. </p> <p> </p> <p> In January-April 2020, Belarusian enterprises supplied farm products and foods to 92 countries (83 in January-April 2019). </p> <p> </p> <p> As reported, Belarus plans to increase exports of farm products and foods in 2020 by 4.2% to $5.729 billion.
