Belarus’ life:) telecom operator reports a 15.2% year-on-year increase in revenues in H1 2021 to Br75 million ($29.9 million at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus), reads the quarterly report by its parent company Turkcell Group. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Q2 2021 alone, life:) increased revenues by 13.8% year on year to Br37.1 million ($14.8m). </p> <p> </p> <p> EBITDA increased in H1 2021 by 16.3% to Br18.6 million ($7.4 million). In Q2 EBITDA grew by 25% year on year to Br9.5 million ($3.782m). </p> <p> </p> <p> The company’s net loss reduced by 6.5% year on year in H1 2021 to Br15.9 million ($6.33m). Net loss in Q2 – down 12.4% yoy to Br7.8m ($3.105m). </p> <p> </p> <p> The operator increased capital expenditures by 42.6% on the year in H1 2021 to Br28.1 million ($11.187 million); Q2 – up 16.1% to Br10.1m ($4.021m). </p> <p> </p> <p> The company numbered 1 million active subscribers, unchanged yoy in H1 2021; the total subscriber base also remained unchanged at 1.4 million. </p> <p> </p> <p> “life:) continues to expand 4G coverage in Belarus in 2021. The operator started providing LTE services in the 800 MHz band through the beCloud network in Mogilev and Minsk. All these efforts helped BeST to become a market leader in terms of 4G geographic coverage and increased 4G subscriber penetration. Accordingly, 4G users reached 68% of the three-month active subscriber base. In the second quarter of 2021, average monthly data consumption by subscribers increased by 25% year-on-year to 13.2GB.
