Belarus launches state labeling information system – decree
<p> MINSK, Jan 11 - PrimePress. Belarus will launch a state information system for labeling goods with control (identification) marks, as per presidential decree No.9 of January 6, 2021 posted on the National Legal Internet Portal on January 7, 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> The introduces unified marks of several formats for labeling all groups of goods regardless of denominations. </p> <p> </p> <p> The information system will accumulate data on unified marks and identification means. The information will be provided to business entities, regulatory agencies and consumers through publicly available information services. </p> <p> </p> <p> The goods marking system will perform the function of a national component of the information marking system stipulated by the agreement on identification of goods in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) ratified in Belarus by law No. 117-З of July 17, 2018. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Tax Ministry will monitor the compliance of product labeling with legislation and coordination of activities of other government agencies in this respect. </p> <p> </p> <p> The decree approves lists of goods without unified marks or with marks that are not subject to the ban on trade and turnover in Belarus.
