Belarus’ industrial output up 9.3% in Jan-Jul 2021 to Br84.077bn

Belarus’ industrial output increased by 9.3% on the year in January-July 2021 to Br84.077 billion, or U.S. $33.687 billion at the official rate of the National Bank, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> Production of food, beverages and tobacco products increased by 2.1% to Br19.739 billion ($7.91 billion, $1 - $2.4958) in January-July 2021, according to Belstat. </p> <p> </p> <p> The volume of metallurgy and fabricated metal products increased by 9.6% on January-July 2021 to Br6.286 billion ($2.52 billion), while the production of vehicles and equipment increased by 15.7% to Br3.809 billion ($1.53 billion). </p> <p> </p> <p> Output of rubber and plastic products and other non-metallic mineral products in January-July 2021 remained unchanged year on year at Br5.414 billion ($2.17 billion); computer, electronic and optical equipment - increased by 21.5% to Br1.328 billion ($532.1 million). The production of electrical equipment increased by 13.4% to Br2.112 million ($846.2 million). </p> <p> </p> <p> Output of machines and equipment (which do not belong to other statistical categories) stood at Br5.387 billion ($2.16 billion) in Jan-Jul 2021, up 21.6% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> Since July 2021, Belstat has stopped publishing data on the dynamics and volumes of production of coke and refined oil products, as well as chemical products.
