Belarus’ import of Russian natural gas grew 14.1% year on year in Jan-Apr 2021 to 7.611 billion cubic metres, reads the official statistical report. </p> <p> </p> <p> In monetary terms, Belarus’ import of Russian gas grew 15.7% year on year in Jan-Apr 2021 to $1.004bn. </p> <p> </p> <p> The average price of Russian gas imported by Belarus in Jan-Apr 2021 rose by 1.4% year on year to $131.957 per 1,000 cubic metres. </p> <p> </p> <p> In 2020, Belarus reduced the import of Russian natural gas by 7.4% year on year to 18.765 billion cubic meters. In money terms, Belarus reduced the import of Russian gas in 2020 by 7% year on year to $2.453 billion. The average price of Russian gas imported by Belarus in 2020 rose by 0.4% compared with 2019 to $130.731 per 1,000 cubic meters. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus annually imports around 20 billion cubic meters of gas from the Russian Federation.
