Belarus increases funding of 2016-2020 state agriculture development program by 0.5% to Br222.561bn

The government of Belarus increased the funding of the 2016-2020 state agricultural business development program and its subprograms by 0.5% to Br 222.561 billion ($83.572 billion at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Belarus) as per government decree No.498 of August 24, 2020 posted on the National Legal Internet Portal. </p> <p> </p> <p> This funding fr om the republican budget increased by 1.14% to Br4.061 billion ($1.525 billion). The funding fr om local budgets, including Minsk city budget – by 0.5% to Br4.116 billion ($1.545bn), under investment programs – by 8.2% to Br245.813 million ($92.303m). </p> <p> </p> <p> Funding from bank loans is up 8.3% to Br13.903 billion ($5.221bn), by the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus OJSC – by 3.1% to Br784.84 million ($294.709m). </p> <p> </p> <p> The funding from the off-budget centralized investment fund of the Energy Ministry (Br1.378 million or $517,442), centralized investment fund of Belgospischeprom (Br4.255 million or $1.598 million) remains unchanged, and so does the size of own funds of agro-industrial entities (Br199.69 billion or $74.984 billion). </p> <p> </p> <p> The lim it on directed lending under state programs and measures in 2020 was raised by 4.3% (Br21m) to Br517.39 million (by $7.885m to $184.281m). The lim it on lending to business entities under presidential directives was reduced by the same amount (by 2.9% to Br728.3m or $273.478m). The total amount of limits on directed lending to government programs and measures in 2020 remains at Br1.26 billion ($473.133m). </p> <p> </p> <p> The funding of state programs and measures by the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus increased by 0.14% to Br1.661 billion ($623.604m).
