Belarus’ govt imposes ban on export of wheat, rye, buckwheat and other grains
<p> MINSK, Apr 15 - PrimePress. The Government of Belarus has announced a move to impose a temporary ban on the export of wheat and meslin, rye, barley, oats, corn, buckwheat, millet, triticale and other cereals, in accordance with government resolution #221 of April 14, 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> The ban will apply to exports of these goods from Belarus to the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) regardless of their origin; from the customs territory of the EEU in Belarus to non-EEU member states when placing them under customs procedures of export, temporary export, processing outside the customs territory and re-export. </p> <p> </p> <p> The ban will not apply if these goods are exported outside Belarus to EEU member states and non-member states for international humanitarian aid, as well as for supplies; movement in international transit traffic starting and ending outside the EEU customs territory, as well as movement of such EEU goods between the territories of EEU member states through third countries; placement under customs procedures in an EEU member state other than Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> The main provisions of the resolution will come into force after its official publication and will be valid for three months.
