Belarus’ govt forbids indebted organizations to raise wage rates – resolution
<p> MINSK, Jul 7 - PrimePress. The government of Belarus has prohibited raising wage rates (standard salaries) to employees of organizations (regardless of proprietary form) that have arrears in payments to the national budget and state target budget funds, as per Council of Ministers’ resolution No.400 of July 4, 2020 posted on the National Legal Internet Portal on July 7. </p> <p> </p> <p> An increase in wage rates (standard salaries) is only possible once the debts have been discharged. </p> <p> </p> <p> This does not apply to public sector and other subsidized entities, employees of which are equated to employees of public sector organizations in terms of remuneration of labour, as well as organizations that are officially granted a deferment (installment) for settling arrears of payments to the budget provided that current payments to the budget are carried out in a timely manner. </p> <p> </p> <p> The decision comes into force upon its official publication.
