Belarus govt extends import ban targeting products by Škoda Auto, Liqui Moly, Beiersdorf
<p> MINSK, Nov 3 - PrimePress. The government of Belarus has extended until 4 May 2022 the ban on the import of Škoda Auto, Liqui Moly and Beiersdorf products. The import ban extension is facilitated by government resolution #623 of 2 November 2021 “On the introduction of a temporary ban on the import of certain types of goods”, which was registered with the National Register of Legal Acts on 3 November. </p> <p> </p> <p> The resolution extends the effect of government resolution #240 of 23 April 2021, which banned for six months the import and sale in the country of products manufactured by Liqui Moly, Škoda Auto and Beiersdorf (brands Nivea, Eucerin, La Prairie, Labello, Hansaplast, Florena, 8X4, Skin Stories, Gammon, Tesa, Chaul, Copperone, Hidrofugal, Stop the water while using me). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, the Government of Belarus banned import and sale of products manufactured by Liqui Moly, Škoda Auto and Beiersdorf (brands Nivea, Eucerin, La Prairie, Labello, Hansaplast, Florena, 8X4, Skin Stories, Gammon, Tesa, Chaul, Copperone, Hidrofugal, Stop The Water While Using Me) in Belarus. This decision was fixed with government resolution #240 of 23 April 2021. The resolution was adopted on the basis of President Lukashenko’s ordinance #128 of 30 March 2021 “On application of special measures”: a ban shall be imposed on imports into the territory of the Republic of Belarus and the sale of certain groups of goods (including goods of certain manufacturers), whose country of origin is the state and (or) the association of states, that have decided to introduce special measures against Belarusian legal entities and (or) individuals, or joined the special measures against the Belarusian legal entities and (or) individuals, adopted by other states and (or) their associations.
