Belarus govt draws up lists of goods subject to labelling

The government of Belarus has defined a list of goods subject to labelling with unified control marks and identification means, in accordance with government resolution #230 of April 22, 2021, published on the National Legal Internet Portal on April 23. </p> <p> </p> <p> The list of goods subject to marking with control marks includes 21 commodity items. Among others the list includes coffee, tea, vegetable oil, sturgeon caviar and its substitutes, canned fish, fruit juices, water, including mineral and carbonated, malt beer, soft drinks with a volume fraction of ethanol not exceeding 7%, motor oil, detergents for washing products, antifreeze. </p> <p> </p> <p> This list also includes printers for computers, computers (laptops, tablets), mobile phones, storage media (audio, video, CDs, etc.), monitors (including displays, video monitors) for computers, TV sets and watches, except for watches that have been used. </p> <p> </p> <p> The list of goods subject to marking with identification means includes 36 items. In particular, it includes dairy products (milk and cream, buttermilk, yoghurt, kefir, whey, etc.), butter, cheese, cottage cheese, ice cream, as well as soft drinks, tyres, articles of clothing, bedding, shoes. </p> <p> </p> <p> The government also set a deadline for the introduction of marking for goods subject to marking by means of identification. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus plans to begin labelling cheese and ice cream with identification means on July 8, 2021. Marking dairy products with shelf life of over 40 days, including cottage cheese, is scheduled for September 1, 2021. At the same time, non-consumed milk and cream without added sugar or other sweetening agents, as well as buttermilk and cream, yogurt, kefir and other fermented or fermented milk and cream, butter, milk paste, whey will be marked from December 1, 2021.
