Belarus’ GDP up 3.3% in Jan-Jun 2021 to Br78.928bn
MINSK, Jul 16 - PrimePress. Gross domestic product (GDP) of Belarus grew in January-June 2021 by 3.3% year on year to Br78.928 billion ($31.023 billion at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus), the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (NBB) reports.<br> <br> Industrial output was up 10.4% year on year in Jan-Jun 2021 to Br71.135 billion ($27.96bn).<br> <br> Farm output increased by 0.3% year on year to Br7.9bn ($3.1bn).<br> <br> As previously reported, Belarus’ GDP declined by 0.9% year on year in 2020 to Br147.006 billion ($57.78bn), the official growth forecast being 2.8%. Industrial output was down 0.7% to Br116.477 billion ($45.78bn); farm output – up 4.9% to Br22.914 billion ($9bn). Belarusian authorities expect 1.8% GDP growth in 2021. End (Br2.5442/$1)<br> <br>
