Belarus’ GDP up 3.1% in Jan-Apr 2021 to Br63.563bn

Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.1% year on year in January-May 2021 to Br63.563 billion ($25.56bn at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus), the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> Industrial output was up 11.1% year on year in Jan-May 2021 to Br58.457 billion ($23.509bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> Farm output reduced by 0.3% year on year in Jan-May 2021 to Br5.866 billion ($2.36bn). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarus’ GDP declined by 0.9% year on year in 2020 to Br147.006 billion ($59.119bn), the official growth forecast being 2.8%.
